Internally displaced people and residents of communities in the Dnipropetrovska and Kharkivska oblasts can apply for microgrants of up to $4,000 to start their own business. In addition to financial support, selected applicants will also be offered training and mentoring to help develop and launch their businesses.
The Czech humanitarian organization People in Need has announced a microgrant competition for people who lost their jobs or stable income due to the war but plan to start their own business.
Successful applicants can receive up to $4,000 to develop their entrepreneurial activities. The funding may be used to purchase equipment, renovate premises, buy materials, cover marketing costs, or pay for other expenses necessary to launch a business.
In addition to financial support, participants will take part in training and receive mentoring support to help them refine their business ideas and effectively start their ventures.
Adult residents of communities and internally displaced people who currently live in the following areas are eligible to apply:
- Dnipropetrovska Oblast: the cities of Dnipro, Kryvyi Rih, and Pavlohrad; Dniprovskyi raion; Samarivskyi raion.
- Kharkivska Oblast: Berestynskyi raion; Kharkivskyi raion; Lozivskyi raion; Bohodukhivskyi raion; Chuhuivskyi raion.
Individuals who actually reside in settlements within the listed communities are eligible to participate. All communities that are part of the specified districts may take part in the project.
Priority will be given to people with disabilities, internally displaced persons, single parents, and older people. The full list of priority groups is available on the program website.
