About the Award

The national award was established in 2025 by the Charitable Organization “Charity Foundation ‘Stabilization Support Services’”.
- The award is presented annually to representatives of IDP Councils;
- Internally displaced persons;
- Representatives of civil society and charitable organizations;
- Representatives of structural units of local executive authorities and local self-government bodies.
Nominations
“Leadership and Advocacy” — defending the rights of IDPs and influencing hromada decision-making.
“Innovation and Initiatives” — new solutions for IDPs.
“The Power of Collaboration” — partnerships to support and integrate IDPs.
“IDP Council Community Choice” — an initiative or activity of an IDP Council that received the most support from the IDP Council community based on the results of an online vote.
Selection Stages
May – September 2026: submission of applications and technical review. Online voting in the “IDP Councils Community Choice” nomination.
October 2026: evaluation of applications by the expert committee and selection of winners. Award ceremony during the 4th All-Ukrainian Forum of IDP Councils.
People Driving Change in Their Hromadas
In 2025, the recipients of the “For the Councils of the Future” National Award were:

Yana Burtlutska, Chair of the IDP Council under the Executive Committee of the Voznesensk City Council (Mykolaivska Oblast) — Leadership and Advocacy;
Denys Uvarov, Chair of the IDP Council under the Executive Committee of the Drohobych City Council (Lvivska Oblast) — Innovation and Initiatives;

Tetiana Shyk, Chair of the IDP Council under the Executive Committee of the Pavlohrad City Council (Dnipropetrovska Oblast) — The Power of Collaboration.

Oksana Savytska, Advisor on IDP Council Development at the CF “Stabilization Support Services,” received a special award for her contribution to the development of the IDP Council network.

The “For the Councils of the Future” National Award is an initiative of the Charitable Organization “Charity Foundation ‘Stabilization Support Services’” and aims to recognize the work of members of IDP Councils. The award is not a government award, does not entail any financial obligations, and is granted solely as a form of public recognition. Participation in the selection process is voluntary. Submission of an application implies full and unconditional acceptance of the terms of the Regulations on the Award. The Charity Foundation “Stabilization Support Services” reserves the right to amend the Regulations and to make final decisions regarding the selection results.
