Grant for IDPs to Start Their Own Business: Up to $2,500 Available in Dnipropetrovska Oblast
IDPs in Dnipropetrovska Oblast can receive a grant for IDPs to start their own business of up to $2,500. The funds can be used to start, restore, or develop a business.
The programme is being implemented in the Dnipro, Slobozhanske, Pidhorodne, Zhovti Vody, and Kamianske communities.
Who can participate
The programme is open to people who want to start their own business or restore or develop an existing one.
Priority will be given to people from vulnerable groups, including:
- IDPs and women entrepreneurs who were forced to leave their homes;
- entrepreneurs whose businesses were damaged or destroyed due to the war;
- people with disabilities and older people;
- single parents;
- families with minor children.
How to participate in the programme
First, applicants need to register and complete the training. It consists of two offline sessions in Dnipro and six online sessions.
After completing the training, participants must prepare a business plan and take part in a competitive selection process. Winners will receive individual financial assistance of up to $2,500.
Applications will be accepted until the required number of participants is reached.
What can the grant be used for?
The funds are intended for specific business-related expenses. They can be used, in particular, for:
- purchasing equipment and tools;
- renting, renovating, and equipping premises;
- purchasing raw materials and supplies;
- creating jobs;
- paying for business services;
- transportation;
- other expenses necessary to start, restore, or develop a business.
According to Dnipro Operatyvnyi, the programme is supported by Save the Children in Ukraine.
