The Czech humanitarian organization People in Need has announced a microgrant competition for internally displaced people living in Lvivska Oblast. Funding of up to UAH 88,000 can be used for vocational training or retraining. Applications can be submitted until September 18, 2026.

Who Can Apply?

The program is open to individuals who are internally displaced persons (IDPs), have been living in Lvivska Oblast since February 24, 2022, do not engage in entrepreneurial activities, are ready to complete vocational training or retraining lasting up to six months, and can provide a document confirming their IDP status and other required information.

What Does the Grant Cover?

The maximum amount of support is UAH 88,000 per participant. The funds are primarily intended to cover the cost of the selected vocational training.

If necessary, a participant may also receive up to UAH 13,000 in one-time assistance for logistical expenses, including transportation, accommodation, and other costs related to attending in-person training outside their place of residence. The total amount of support may not exceed UAH 88,000.

Training can be completed online or offline. Participants may choose the educational institution themselves. The selected course must be aimed at acquiring or developing professional competencies needed for employment or starting an economic activity.

If a participant chooses several training programs, they must be related to the same professional field and provided by the same educational service provider.

What Training Is NOT Eligible for Funding?

The grant cannot be used to pay for:

• foreign language courses;
• basic computer literacy courses;
• esoteric and pseudoscientific practices;
• driving courses, except where obtaining an additional driving category or upgrading qualifications is necessary for employment.

The educational service provider must officially conduct educational activities in accordance with Ukrainian legislation and have the relevant KVED (Classification of Types of Economic Activity) for providing training courses, trainings, or seminars.

How to Apply?

The selection process will consist of two stages. First, the organizers will check applications for compliance with the eligibility requirements. Selected candidates will then be invited for interviews.

To participate, applicants must complete a grant application. Only one application may be submitted per household.

The application deadline is September 18, 2026.

The estimated waiting period for the selection results is up to two months from the date of application. Submission of an application does not guarantee that a grant will be awarded.
