During an IDP Council meeting, it is important to record what was discussed and what decisions were reached. This is the purpose of the meeting minutes. The minutes should record who was present, which issues were discussed, who spoke, how the Council voted, and what decisions were adopted.
If specific tasks, responsible persons, or deadlines are identified as a result of the discussion, these should also be recorded in the minutes.
The minutes help maintain a clear record of the IDP Council’s work and make it easier to follow up on the implementation of decisions that have been adopted.
The sample provided shows how meeting minutes can be structured. You can use it as a reference when preparing the minutes of your own IDP Council meeting. Adapt it to your working format — in-person, online, or hybrid — and to the issues discussed at the meeting.
