The Charity Foundation “Stabilization Support Services”, in partnership with UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency in Ukraine, and with support from the Ministry for Communities and Territories Development of Ukraine, has updated an interactive map of IDP Councils.
Since 2019, more than 1,000 IDP Councils have been established across the country, 883 of which are included on the map. The tool allows users to analyze not only the geographical distribution but also the activities of the councils.
According to the data:
- total number of council members — 12,991;
- 77% of them are women;
- 45% of council members are internally displaced persons themselves.
The map makes it possible to compare how councils operate in urban and rural communities. The largest share of councils — 498 — has been created within rural and villages* local self-government bodies.
*In this tool, settlements are not shown separately, so the “villages” filter also includes settlements.
