Internally displaced people (IDPs) and other Ukrainians affected by the war can receive up to UAH 31,900 to restore or start their own business. The MESH program is designed to support households that have lost their sources of income due to hostilities or forced displacement.
Applications are accepted from:
- IDPs;
- war-affected households;
- families whose homes have been damaged or destroyed;
- people who have lost their businesses or opportunities for self-employment;
- families whose members have been injured or killed as a result of hostilities;
- people who have been forced to evacuate or relocate in recent months.
The financial assistance is intended to help restore livelihoods rather than cover day-to-day expenses. The funding may be used to restore a war-affected business, develop self-employment, or launch a new business. The program supports a wide range of economic activities, including repair services, furniture production, small-scale retail, cleaning services, repair of household appliances or footwear, and other types of small businesses.
The program is being implemented in Mykolaivska Oblast (Mykolaiv and Bashtanka districts), Khersonska Oblast (Kherson and Beryslav districts), and Dnipropetrovska Oblast (Nikopol, Synelnykove, and Kryvyi Rih districts).
Please share this information with internally displaced people in your communities, as well as with members of your IDP Councils who are planning to start or restore their own businesses after displacement. Opportunities like this help strengthen the economic self-reliance of IDPs and support the development of local entrepreneurship.
To apply, applicants should prepare:
- a passport or ID card;
- a taxpayer identification number (TIN);
- bank account details (IBAN);
- if required, documents confirming eligibility under the program criteria.
All documents must be submitted electronically.
