On 20–21 May 2026, a strategic session was held for the IDP Council under the Executive Committee of the Oleksandrivka Settlement Council. During the event, participants together with representatives of the relevant departments of the settlement council developed drafts of the IDP Council’s Strategic and Operational Activity Plans for 2026–2028.
The event was conducted by the Charity Foundation “Stabilization Support Services” within the framework of a project aimed at strengthening the social protection system, implemented with the support of UNHCR, the United Nations Refugee Agency in Ukraine.
The IDP Council in Oleksandrivka Community was established in October 2025. The strategic session became an important step in systematising its further work and defining development priorities for the coming years.
Over the course of two days, participants analysed the previous activities of the IDP Council, discussed the key challenges faced by internally displaced people in the community, and identified areas for further cooperation. Through SWOT analysis, group discussions, and collaborative work, the participants managed to move from addressing individual issues to forming a comprehensive vision for the development of the IDP Council.
As a result of the strategic session, the participants:
- formulated the mission, vision, and values of the IDP Council;
- defined strategic goals for 2026–2027;
- developed drafts of the strategic and operational activity plans.
“The strategic session became an important platform for exchanging experiences, shaping a shared vision for future activities, and strengthening cooperation to support internally displaced people in the community.
