The Charity Foundation Stabilization Support Services invites representatives of IDP Councils to join an online meeting dedicated to addressing the suspension of pension payments affecting certain internally displaced persons and to coordinating further joint actions.
Date: February 25, 2026
Time: 15:00–16:30 (Kyiv time)
Format: online
Registration: via the link (Ukrainian language).
Please note that registration will close on February 24 at 16:00. The online meeting link will be sent to all registered participants.
In January 2026, pension payments to some internally displaced persons were suspended on a large scale. Subsequently, a decision was adopted to extend the deadline for submitting a declaration confirming the non-receipt of pensions from the Russian Federation until April 1, 2026.
Among the main reasons for the suspension were:
- the absence of information in the Pension Fund of Ukraine regarding the completion of physical identification procedures;
- failure to submit a declaration confirming that a pension is not being received from the Russian Federation;
- failure to apply for the transfer of pension payments to a new place of residence in government-controlled territory after leaving temporarily occupied areas.
In this situation, it is especially important to ensure proper awareness among internally displaced persons about the required actions and applicable deadlines. At the same time, there is a need to develop mechanisms that will help prevent similar situations in the future.
During the meeting, organizers plan to provide a detailed overview of the reasons behind the suspension of pension payments, recent regulatory changes, outcomes of coordination meetings and hearings, as well as decisions adopted by public authorities. Special attention will be given to practical recommendations for IDP Councils on conducting information campaigns and coordinating further joint actions.
We would highly appreciate your active participation and support in sharing this information among members of IDP Councils.
