Organizations in Zhytomyrska Oblast Can Receive Up to UAH 100,000 for Social, Educational, and Integration Initiatives

Public and charitable organizations in Zhytomyrska Oblast can receive up to UAH 100,000 to implement projects supporting internally displaced people, veterans, older adults, and young people. The competition also supports environmental, cultural, and educational initiatives aimed at community development and strengthening social cohesion.

The non-governmental organization “Suchasnyi Format” with the support of the National Endowment for Democracy has announced the fourth round of the grant competition “Voices of Communities: Supporting Civil Society Organizations in Zhytomyrska Oblast.” The initiative is designed to support local civil society organizations (CSOs) working to address social, economic, and environmental challenges in communities across the region.

Within the competition, organizations can receive funding for projects in the following areas:

  • support for vulnerable groups, including internally displaced people, veterans, older adults, people with disabilities, and people with chronic illnesses;
  • youth educational programs, leadership development, volunteering, and social entrepreneurship initiatives;
  • environmental initiatives, including greening, waste sorting, and territory clean-up activities;
  • awareness-raising and information campaigns on legal and financial literacy, gender equality, violence prevention, and healthcare;
  • cultural and integration projects, local festivals, exhibitions, and initiatives aimed at preserving cultural heritage.

Applications are open to officially registered public or charitable organizations in Zhytomyr Oblast that have a team of at least three people and are ready to provide a co-financing contribution of 10% of the project budget. These funds will be reimbursed after the approval of the final programmatic and financial reports.

To participate, applicants must send a project proposal, budget, and supporting documents to mgo.sformat@gmail.com with the subject line: “Grant Competition ‘Voices of Communities in Times of War’”.

Applications are accepted until May 31, 2026. Supported projects will be implemented from June 20 to December 20, 2026.
