Meeting of the IDP Council under the Rivne Regional Military Administration: plans for 2026

On Monday, 26 January, an online meeting of the Council on Internally Displaced Persons under the Rivne Regional State (Military) Administration was held. Representatives of local self-government bodies and IDP Councils from territorial communities of the region took part in the meeting. This made it possible to discuss the specific needs of internally displaced people at the community level.

This was reported on the Council’s Facebook page.

A key item on the agenda was the approval of the Operational Plan of the IDP Council under the Rivne Regional State/Military Administration for 2026–2027. The document defines priorities and practical steps aimed at strengthening the participation of IDPs in decision-making processes and ensuring systematic support at the regional and local levels.

The main focus areas of the Plan include:

  • expanding IDP participation in decision-making at the regional and community levels;
  • advocating for changes in social protection, housing programmes, employment, and education;
  • developing and supporting IDP Councils in territorial communities;
  • establishing sustainable cooperation with public authorities, civil society, and charitable organisations;
  • informing IDPs about opportunities for state and donor support.

During its second term, the IDP Council under the Rivne Regional State/Military Administration places special emphasis on openness and access to information. In the future, Council meetings are planned to be held in a hybrid format — online and offline. This approach aims to ensure regular communication with IDP Councils in territorial communities of the region and prompt information exchange.

During the meeting, participants also familiarised themselves with current state funding programmes, subventions, and allocations planned for 2026, as well as opportunities for information and advisory support provided by Charity Foundation Stabilization Support Services.
