A local initiatives grant competition has been launched in the Zhytomyr hromada with a total fund of UAH 200,000. This is an opportunity for civil society and charitable organizations to implement projects that support the integration of internally displaced persons (IDPs) into the hromada and strengthen social cohesion.
The grant pool was formed through a joint effort of the Hromada Foundation of Zhytomyr, the business community Board Zhytomyr, and the International Charitable Foundation “Board: Stronger Together,” with the support of the National Network for the Development of Local Philanthropy (Resource Hub project supported by GlobalGiving).
Organizers place special emphasis on initiatives that promote the integration of internally displaced persons into host hromadas. This includes projects that help IDPs build social connections, access educational, cultural, and psychosocial services, and participate in joint activities with local residents.
Within the competition, four initiatives will be supported. Each selected organization will receive a grant of up to UAH 50,000 to implement its project, as well as mentoring support from representatives of the Board Zhytomyr business community.
Application deadline: February 15, 2026 (inclusive).
Project implementation period: March 1 – May 31, 2026.
To participate, applicants must complete the online form and send the required annexes (project application form and budget) to: localgrant0@gmail.com. Detailed participation guidelines are available in the official call documentation.
