International Institute of Humanitarian Law launches online course on advocacy for protection

We are sharing an opportunity from the partner of the Charity Foundation “Stabilization Support Services” — the International Institute of Humanitarian Law (IIHL). The International Institute of Humanitarian Law has opened registration for the online course on advocacy for protection. Representatives of IDP Councils, civil society and charitable organizations working on the protection of internally displaced persons, refugees, migrants, and stateless persons are invited to apply.

The application deadline is June 1, 2026.

The course will help participants gain a better understanding of international approaches to the protection of people forced to leave their homes and develop practical skills to:

  • analyze protection-related issues and needs;
  • design advocacy campaigns;
  • communicate effectively with public authorities, partners, and communities;
  • develop clear and persuasive messages;
  • identify stakeholders who can influence decision-making processes at the local, national, regional, and international levels.

The course format includes 12 online sessions via Zoom for Education (approximately 2 hours each). The programme combines theory with practical exercises, group work, case studies, and discussions with international experts.

Course language: English (simultaneous interpretation will not be provided).

Participation fee: EUR 750.

Participants who successfully complete the course will receive a certificate.

End — November 13, 2026
