IDPs and Residents of War-Affected Regions Can Receive Up to USD 2,600 to Develop Their Microbusinesses

The support programme is available in Kyiv and the Kyivska, Chernihivska, Dnipropetrovska, and Odeska oblasts. It aims to support microbusinesses, promote self-employment, and foster entrepreneurship.

Applications are open to internally displaced people (IDPs) as well as local residents who are registered and living in areas where hostilities have taken place, in accordance with Order No. 376 of the Ministry for Communities and Territories Development of Ukraine dated 28 February 2025.

The average amount of financial assistance is USD 2,600, provided in the hryvnia equivalent. The funds may be used to purchase equipment, tools, machinery, and other resources necessary for running a business.

Participants will be selected through a competitive process. Applications will be assessed based on the following criteria:

  • justification of the need for financial assistance;
  • alignment of the business idea with the programme’s objectives;
  • feasibility and sustainability of the business concept;
  • the applicant’s capacity to implement the proposed business idea;
  • understanding of the target market and customer base;
  • previous business experience;
  • social or financial vulnerability.

How to Apply

The Economic Resilience Programme (ERP) is implemented by the international humanitarian organization Mercy Corps in partnership with the NGO Free People Employment Center. The programme provides financial assistance to help participants start, restore, or expand their own businesses.
