CF SSS Announced the National Award “For Councils of the Future”

The Charity Foundation Stabilization Support Services has announced the launch of an open selection process for the national award “For Councils of the Future.” The award aims to support leadership and promote best practices in assisting internally displaced persons (IDPs) across the country. The announcement was made on the official Facebook page of IDP Councils.

This initiative seeks to recognize and support the active work of IDP Council members who contribute to protecting the rights of displaced persons, supporting their integration into host communities, and involving them in decision-making processes.

Nominations:

Leadership and Advocacy – for a significant contribution to defending the rights and interests of IDPs, including active participation in the development of national and local policies, implementation of advocacy initiatives that ensure a sustainable impact on improving the situation of IDPs, and promoting their engagement in decision-making.

Innovation and Initiatives – for introducing new approaches, practices, or projects into the work of IDP Councils that help effectively address the challenges faced by displaced persons, expand access to services, improve quality of life, and foster sustainable community development.

Power of Cooperation – for successfully bringing together communities, local authorities, civil society and charitable organizations, international partners, and other stakeholders to develop and implement joint solutions aimed at supporting IDPs, strengthening their integration into communities, and enhancing social cohesion.

Who can apply? Members of IDP Councils, including:

  • internally displaced persons;
  • representatives of civil society organizations and charitable foundations;
  • representatives of structural units of local executive authorities and local self-government bodies.

Applications are open until 26 October 2025. The award ceremony will take place during the Third All-Ukrainian Forum of IDP Councils, which will be held in November 2025.
