Where can IDP Councils best present information about their work so that it is easy for donors and potential partners to find? For civil society organizations and international partners, transparency demonstrates that a council works in a structured and responsible way. This, in turn, increases opportunities for cooperation and support.
According to paragraph 23 of the Model Regulation on the Council on Internally Displaced Persons, IDP Councils are required to inform the public about:
- their internal regulations;
- work plans;
- agendas and information on the date, time, and place of meetings;
- minutes of meetings with approved proposals and recommendations;
- information on the implementation of these decisions;
- annual activity reports, and more.
IDP Councils must also publish information about their leadership, members of working groups and commissions, including contact details (phone number, mailing address, email, etc.) to ensure communication on matters within the council’s mandate.
The IDP Councils Portal was created as an open platform to help councils meet these requirements.
Publishing documents, council composition, and contact details, as well as sharing news — all of this is handled by our team. From the IDP Council, we only need the information.
This is how the profile of the Council on Internally Displaced Persons under the Executive Committee of the Kropyvnytskyi City Council looks on the Portal, where we have published documents related to its activities.
How to submit information for publication on the Portal
To do this, simply send us an email at rady-vpo@sss-ua.org
.
In your email, please include:
- your first and last name;
- the full name of the IDP Council you represent;
- the title of the news item or event (if you plan to submit news);
- a short description to help readers understand what has happened or is planned (5–7 sentences outlining the key points);
- a clear list of documents (if you plan to attach documents);
- photos, videos, or documents related to the news (if available and appropriate).
We will format your materials and publish them on the website.
To publish a new IDP Council profile (including its name, contact details, and other information) please complete the online form. After submission, the Portal team will review the data.
