There are more than 800 IDP Councils operating at different levels across Ukraine. They improve people’s lives, strengthen the voice and influence of displaced women and men in their communities, and initiate new programs and policies for internally displaced persons.
“IDP Councils 2025–2026” is a source of inspiration and practical examples for everyone working with internal displacement in Ukraine — members of IDP Councils, representatives of local authorities, civil society organizations, and partner institutions.
It gathers real cases from different regions — from Volyn to Kherson — showing how IDP Councils advocate for housing issues, initiate the creation of housing funds, influence local programs, run communication campaigns, and build partnerships. These stories demonstrate that IDP Councils are active communities of people driving positive change where they live.
