Grants for women entrepreneurs developing private children’s spaces will be available in Dnipropetrovska, Zaporizka, Kharkivska, Mykolaivska, Khersonska, Sumska, Chernihivska, Odeska, Poltavska and Cherkaska oblasts.
The Charitable Foundation Women’s Opportunities in Ukraine has announced a mini-grant competition for women entrepreneurs working in early childhood education, extracurricular education, creative activities and child development.
The grant programme aims to support women’s entrepreneurship while also expanding children’s access to safe, affordable and inclusive opportunities for learning, creativity, development and socialisation.
What can the funding be used for?
Grants of up to UAH 70,000 can support projects that include:
- launching new educational, creative, reading or developmental programmes;
- creating an inclusive and accessible environment;
- improving the safety and comfort of children’s spaces;
- programmes and services for children affected by the war;
- purchasing materials, books, equipment and other resources necessary to implement the project.
For children from internally displaced families, such spaces can provide additional opportunities for learning, creativity and social interaction, while also helping restore a sense of safety and belonging in the community. Initiatives that take into account the needs of children who have been forced to leave their homes because of the war may therefore be particularly relevant.
Who can apply?
The competition is open to women who:
- are Ukrainian citizens and permanently reside in Ukraine;
- have an active individual entrepreneur status (FOP);
- operate a private children’s space that has been running for at least three months;
- work in early childhood education, extracurricular education, creative activities and child development;
- do not operate in temporarily occupied territories and have no business ties with Russia or Belarus;
- have no outstanding debts to the state budget.
Priority will be given to projects that address the current needs of children and communities. Initiatives should also create or significantly improve opportunities for children, have a long-term impact and demonstrate positive social impact. Applicants are expected to make their own contribution to the project.
Applications are accepted until 25 September 2026, inclusive. Applications can be submitted via the link. The competition results are expected to be announced by 23 October 2026.
